Search Underway For Possible Bear Mountain Bridge Jumper

After receiving several witness reports of a person jumping from Bear Mountain Bridge, authorities are searching the waters in the area near the bridge, according to state police.

The calls were received beginning around 1:45 p.m., Monday, said Trooper A.J. Hicks.

Currently, marine units are searching for the unidentified person, he said.

Officials will review bridge video surveillance tapes to confirm the jump.
